Picture of Kay Jones from Forster Jones Consulting

hello, I’m Kay

I help leaders and organisations think clearly and move forward when their work feels complex or heavy.

I work with people in demanding roles, and with charities, CICs and purpose‑led organisations navigating change, responsibility and uncertainty.

My approach is calm, practical and human, focused on what will make the most meaningful difference without carrying everything alone.

I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and work with clients across the UK.

accessing funding to work with me

Some organisations I work with are able to access funded or supported consultancy through regional business support programmes;  I’m happy to talk through eligibility if it’s helpful.

You can find more detail about funded and supported consultancy routes on my consultancy page.

my story

I’ve spent more than twenty years in senior leadership roles across the private sector and Higher Education, alongside board‑level roles in charities and national organisations.

I’ve held responsibility for complex, multi‑site services and large teams. I’ve led and managed significant organisational change, including large‑scale transformation, and worked at executive and board level on governance, risk and strategy.

My roles have combined substantial people leadership with commercial and operational accountability.

Those experiences shape how I work today, giving me the perspective, practical judgement and steadiness needed when expectations are high and there are no simple answers.

Alongside my consultancy and coaching work, I’m also a Humanist funeral celebrant - a part of my portfolio that keeps me grounded in the realities of care, compassion and what matters most to people.

Across all my work, I stay close to the human challenges of leadership and organisational life.
